Ministerial Moves

 

George Atherholt resigned from the pastorate at Southside Baptist Church in Blakely and is available for supply work. He may be contacted (229) 359-5077.

 

Providence Baptist Church in Cairo called Chad Cooper as pastor. His first Sunday at the church was Sept. 4. He came to the church from First Baptist Church in Cairo.

 

First Baptist Church of Augusta called C. Gregory DeLoach, III as senior pastor beginning Oct. 9. DeLoach comes to the church from First Baptist Church in Marietta, where he had served since 1997. He has also served on the board of trustees at Shorter College for the past eight years.

DeLoach holds a doctor of ministry degree from Columbia Seminary in Decatur and a master of divinity degree from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky., where he also received the Dehoney Preaching Award.

He is joined by his wife, Amy, and sons, Clark and Aaron.

 

Eastwood Baptist Church in Marietta called Ken Ellison as interim pastor in July.

 

Flinn Gregory resigned as pastor of Salem Baptist Church in Edison and is available for supply work. He can be reached at (229) 641-3480.

 

Fortsonia Baptist Church in Elberton called Russell Moore as pastor effective Aug. 21.

 

Western Heights Baptist Church in LaGrange has called Christian Nichles as youth pastor. Nichles comes to the church from First Baptist Church in Iowa, La., where he served as youth pastor. He has also served as youth pastor at churches in Alabama.

Nichles is a graduate of Southeastern Bible College, Birmingham. He is joined by his wife, Emily, and their two daughters, Morgan and Tori.

 

Milton Parker recently completed an interim at Fortsonia Baptist Church in Bethel Baptist Association. He is available for interim or supply. Call the associational office at (706) 245-5853 for more information.

 

Bill Priester retired as senior pastor at Flat Creek Baptist Church in Fayetteville after almost 32 years of service. His last day is Oct. 30.

 

Poulan Baptist Church in Mallary Baptist Association called Terry Siniard as pastor effective Aug. 14.

 

C. Roy Smith announced his retirement from Rock Springs Baptist Church in Hebron Baptist Association effective Aug. 28. He is available for supply or interim. Call the associational office at (706) 245-5853 for more information.

 

Dan St. Andre was called as minister of music at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarkesville. He began serving Sept. 11.

 

Mark Winstead began serving as minister of music at Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church in Silver Creek on March 23. He comes to the church from First Baptist Church in Warrenton where he served for 10 years.

Winstead is a graduate of the University of North Alabama and has a masters of Religious Education degree from Mid-America Seminary. He has served churches in Georgia, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Kentucky. He is joined by his wife, Kathy, and their four children, Seth, Bonnie, Anna and Samuel.
