Ministerial Moves


Concord Baptist Church in Mableton called Eddie Barton as pastor on March 7.


Jackie Cabaniss has been called as pastor of Kingwood Church in Moultrie. Previously, he served ten years as pastor of Crosland Church, Norman Park.


Stephen Krysalka and his wife will complete a twenty-year tenure as pastor family of Smyrna Baptist Church in Deepstep on April 25.


C. Wm. Eidenire has semi-retired from Lamad Ministries/ Seasons Christian Care Center, Inc. and has resigned as executive director of Lamad Ministries/Seasons Christian Care Center, Inc. after 18 years of service.


Sonny Lofton has resigned as sports and special events coordinator of Lamad Media Ministry/WWXC 90.7FM.


Crossroads Baptist Church in Powder Springs called Greg Hicks as pastor on March 21.


Sandersville First Church has called Scott McDade as senior associate pastor/minister of education & administration. McDade comes from Bridgeway Church in Alpharetta where he served 14 years in various positions. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech and is married to the former Camille Bryan of Chamblee. They have one son, Samuel.


Bob Nichols is no longer manager of operations for WWXC 90.7FM in Albany.


Larry Wilbanks has resigned as the associational missionary for Dodge and Pulaski-Bleckley Baptist Associations, effective May 1. He served the associations since October, 2001.


Ben Gault has served as intentional interim associational missionary for the New Sunbury Baptist Association since May 5, 2003. He will complete his service April 30.


Beacon Heights Baptist Church in Madison called Thomas W. Vaughan, Sr. as pastor on March 7. He is joined by his wife, Krista, and son, T.J.


Shane Gardner was called as associate pastor of student ministries at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Claxton on Feb. 22. He and his wife, Jessie, will continue serving at Midway-Macedonia Baptist in Carrollton until April 30, where he has served as assistant youth pastor for the past two years.


Long Cane Baptist Church in LaGrange has called Randy Gilbert as interim pastor. He is joined by his wife, Jenny, and son, Josh.


C. Craig Hartzog has accepted the position of senior pastor at Northside Baptist Church in Brunswick. Hartzog comes from Florida, where he served as senior pastor for the last six years at First Baptist Church of Belle Glade. He is a graduate of Mississippi College, Southeastern Seminary, and New Orleans Seminary.


Sandy Plains Baptist Church in Marietta called Gary C. Nunn as pastor in late February. Nunn holds degrees from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in Pineville and Southwestern Seminary. He has served churches in Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas, and Louisiana. He is joined by his wife, Kristin, and two children, Tyler and Alicia.


Flat Shoals Baptist Church in Bowersville has called Lester Lee Smith as pastor. Smith has pastored Hannah’s Creek Baptist in Hebron Association and Riverside Baptist in Tugalo Association. He is a graduate of the University of West Florida, Luther Rice Seminary, and Slidell Seminary of Louisiana. He is joined by his wife, Deborah.


Cliftondale First Baptist has called Joshua Sorrows as youth minister. Sorrows is a member of the church and is currently enrolled at New Orleans Seminary.


Ray Sullivan III has accepted a call as pastor as First Baptist Cordele. He is joined by his wife, Stephanie and their two boys, Collin and Granger. The family’s exact date for beginning their ministry has yet to be determined.


Lakeview Baptist Church in LaGrange called Lamar Truitt as pastor on March 14. Truitt came out of retirement to accept this call. He is joined by his wife, Carol.


Carter Tucker has accepted a call to serve as interim pastor at Hartwell First Baptist Church.
