Ministerial Moves

 

Kyle Caudell resigned as pastor at Martin Baptist Church in Tugalo Association to pursue a call to full-time evangelism. Caudell will continue to serve the church until the end of February 2007.

 

Tommy Cleveland recently resigned as pastor at Rice Creek Baptist Church in Canon.

 

On Oct. 8 Byron Edens resigned as pastor of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Austell after serving the church four years. His last Sunday will be Dec. 24.

 

Johnny Foster was called as minister of music at Euharlee Baptist Church and began serving Sept. 17. Foster previously served in a variety of Georgia Baptist ministry positions, including the past ten years as senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Austell. His responsibilities at Euharlee will include directing the choir and congregational music, as well as coordinating the overall church music programs.

 

Shanon Hayes resigned as pastor at Broad River Baptist Church in Eastanollee. His last Sunday was Oct. 29.

 

Vaughn Howington recently resigned as pastor at Charity Baptist Church in Homer.

 

Friendship Baptist Church in Milner recently called Gene Turkett as interim pastor.

 

Chris West was called as minister of youth at Euharlee Baptist Church and began serving June 1.

West comes to the church from serving as youth ministry intern at First Baptist Church of Marietta. His responsibilities at Euharlee will include overseeing all student programs of the church.

 

Northminster Baptist Church in Conyers called Anthony Wimpey as associate pastor in September. Wimpey has served the church as minister of music for the past two years and will continue in that capacity in addition to his new pastoral duties. He is joined in ministry by his wife, Pam.
