Ballots for the election of vice presidents are collated following the Tuesday afternoon election. A total of 972 ballots were cast in the election.

Younger and older pastors were recognized for their contributions to the Kingdom during the Tuesday morning session. Shown above are those in the 35-years-and-under category.

Following the recognition of younger pastors, those 65 years and older were honored for their service to the state convention and their congregations. It was the first time both older and younger pastors had been recognized in a convention session.

Chafin Helms delivers his winning speech to messengers and guests at the convention. Helms, from Harpís Crossing Baptist Church in Fayetteville, is the Georgia state speakerís tournament winner. He competed in the national competition in June.

Longtime GBC employee Evelyn Duncan cradles an infant in the childcare services room provided at the convention. Duncan, who serves as an assistant in Information Services Ministries, is the longest-serving employee with 41 years of GBC ministry.

Speakers were given a light-hearted message on the time clock to let them know when their allotted time had expired.

GBC President Wayne Hamrick was elected to a second term as Convention president. There was no opposition to the second-year-term.
