Seminary graduates with Georgia ties march at Southeastern


WAKE FOREST, N.C. — Sixteen Georgians were among the 161 students awarded degrees at Southeastern Seminary’s fall commencement held Dec. 15.

Those receiving degrees, followed by their hometowns, are:

Daren James Mathe, of Warner Robins, and Tracy Lynn Nissley, of Toccoa, who each earned a Master of Church Music degree;

Richard Michael Gable, of Fayetteville, and Kenneth Scott Williams, of Snellville, who each earned a Master of Arts; and

James Allen Atkinson, of Duluth, who earned a Master of Theology.

Mark Wayne Sterling, consultant for Prayer and Spiritual Awakening of the Georgia Baptist Convention, earned a doctor of ministry.

Earning a Master of Divinity were Michael Alan Bass of Valdosta; Charles Jordan Branch of Atlanta; Richard Michael Gable of Fayetteville; Floyd M. Harrison III of Augusta; Anna Christina Middleton of Acworth; F. Matthew Thomas of Villa Rica; Kenneth Lee Whitfield of Toccoa; and Russell Dean Woody of Cumming.
