Glenda Ivey and Jack Wilson were married Oct. 6 in Mountain City. Charles Stutsman, son-in-law of Wilson, performed the private ceremony.
Ivey’s late husband, C. Wray Ivey, served the GBC as Division Director of Church Ministries for 15 years before he died from cancer in 1998. The bride served as a member of the Baptist Children’s Home Board of Trustees and president of Georgia Baptist Ministers’ Wives Conference. Wilson served 20 years as pastor at First Baptist Church of Covington before he retired in 1997. His ministry includes pastorates in North Carolina, Texas, and New Mexico. He received the Purple Heart as a Southern Baptist Chaplain in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
The couple plans to live in Braselton where they will attend Blackshear Place Baptist Church in Oakwood.
