Ministerial Moves

 

Garden Heights Baptist Church in Winder called Hugh L. Brock as pastor. He began his service Oct. 10.

 

First Baptist Church of the Islands in Savannah called Ryan Campbell as children's pastor effective Oct. 19.

Campbell's responsibilities at the church include all ministry to children ages kindergarten through fifth grade as well as to their families.

He is joined by his wife, Christy, and their four children, Abigail, Elizabeth, Isaac, and Lily Katherine.

 

Jason Grizzard accepted a call as pastor of Confederate Avenue Baptist Church in Atlanta on July 2. He is joined by his wife, Melissa, and their three children, Alyssa, Alexis, and Jason, Jr.

 

Briarwood Baptist Church in Watkinsville called Dee Romines as minister of music on Sept. 26. Romines previously served as minister of music at Wornall Road Baptist Church in Kansas City, Mo.

He serves Briarwood by leading congressional music, directing the adult sanctuary choir, and overseeing the hand bell, orchestra, youth and children's choirs. He is joined by his wife, Kim, and their two children, Rebecca and Daniel.

Romines graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in instrumental music education; earned a master of music, choral conducting from Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester; and earned his doctor of musical arts degree from the University of Missouri.

Currently, Romines is assistant professor of choral music education at the University of Georgia.
