Paul Morris, 68, died April 29 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A native of Banks County, Morris entered the ministry in the 1970s and served as pastor at several north Georgia churches including Belton Baptist in Lula, Sugar Hill Baptist, Northside Baptist, Enon Baptist, and Pleasant Hill Baptist.

Upon his death he was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Pea Ridge and retired from 20 years of service with Lee Arrendale Correctional Institute.

Morris is survived by his wife of 44 years, Louise Armour Morris of Alto; two daughters, Connie Morris and Becki Morris Thomas, both of Alto; sisters Judy, Sandra, and Donna Morris, all of Spartanburg, SC; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Corinthia Jean Morris and Wanda Paciorek.


Willie Reid, pastor of Fellowship Bible Baptist Church in Warner Robins, died May 4 at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, from kidney failure. He was 60.

A native of Eatonton, Reid founded Fellowship Bible 31 years ago. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Gloria Hollingshed Reid; daughter Lorea; sons Willie Jr., and Ryan; brothers Robert, Howard, and Frederick; and sisters Virginia and Carolyn.


Pastor Len Stowe died April 25. He was 66.

A minister of music for 44 years, Stowe was currently serving at Sardis Baptist Church in Palmetto.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda Stowe of Fayetteville; daughters LeAnne Gable, of Fayetteville, and LaTisha Campbell, of Hampton; and four grandchildren.
