Long-time Circulation Coordinator for The Christian Index, Bev Tye, will retire Dec. 31 after 14 years of service.

Index Circulation Manager Beverly B. Tye will retire on Dec. 31 from the staff of the state paper. Tye joined The Index in 1990.

For the past 14 years she has maintained the publication's mailing list of more than 50,000 subscribers. Her responsibilities have also included billing and accounts payable.

Before coming to The Index she served as secretary to the administrator/financial records at Lilburn First Baptist Church. Tye, a native of Norcross and a resident of Snellville, is a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula.

She will give more time to her hobbies of painting and gardening.

"Bev Tye has been an efficient and effective employee of The Christian Index for 14 years," said Editor Gerald Harris.

"She is a gracious Christian lady who has consistently demonstrated a love for the Lord and the work of the Kingdom. We look forward to her continuing to be a part of The Christian Index as she transitions to a part time role with our publication."
