Ministerial Moves


Martin Baptist Church in Tugalo Association called Kyle Caudell as pastor beginning Oct. 17.


Heritage Baptist Church in Douglasville called Cecil Clegg as transitional pastor effective Sept. 26.


Jennifer Collins joined the staff of the Georgia Baptist Children's Home in Palmetto as a group leader on Aug. 2. Collins, a member of Northside Baptist Church in Milledgeville, previously worked with youth at the church for two years and is a graduate of Toccoa Falls College.


Faith Baptist Church in Albany called Damon Fountain as pastor on Nov. 1.


Plantview Baptist Church in Griffin called Joaquin Gonzalez as pastor. His first Sunday serving the church was Sept. 19.


Garrett Grubs was called as youth minister of Sherwood Baptist Church in Mallary Association effective Oct. 25.


Keith Harmon resigned as youth minister of Sherwood Baptist Church in Mallary Association on Oct. 24.


Lithia Heights Baptist Church in West Metro Association called Matthew Hinesley as pastor. He and his wife, Carrie, began their ministry on Nov. 7.


James M. Holt was called as pastor of Calvary Way Baptist Church in Ellijay and began his ministry on Nov. 1. Holt has served churches throughout Georgia including Ellijay First Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church in Lilburn, Cumming First Baptist Church, and, most recently, Briarwood Baptist Church in Ringgold. He is joined by his wife, Betty Jo.


Johnny League resigned as pastor of Westview Baptist Mission in Douglasville effective Oct. 10.


West Acres Baptist Church in Evans called Gina London as director of preschool and children's ministries effective Oct. 4. The Texas native and her husband, Clayton, have two children, Heather and Zachary.


On Oct. 1 Rodney Massey was called as associate pastor/minister of family life at Sunrise Baptist Church in Lawrenceville after serving the church part-time for one year. Massey is a recent graduate of Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia. He is joined by his wife, Sheryl, and their two children, Jessica and Rodney, Jr.


West Acres Baptist Church in Evans called T. Huel Moseley as minister of education effective Oct. 4. Moseley comes to the church from Tri-Cities Baptist Church in Gray, Tenn., where he served as associate pastor for music and worship since 1996. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University, New Orleans Seminary, and Mid-America Seminary.


Robert Thompson began serving as interim pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Moultrie on April 4.


G. Stephen Wood resigned from Buford First Baptist Church after serving as senior pastor for eight years to accept a call as pastor of River's Edge Church in Forsyth.

His last Sunday at Buford was Sept. 19. Wood has served several Georgia congregations including McConnell Memorial Baptist Church in Hiawassee, Tabor Baptist Church in Duluth, and Gay First Baptist Church. He is joined by his wife, Julie, and their two children, Jonathan and Hannah.
