First Baptist Church of Newnan honors its Royal Ambassadors during the annual missions recognition service on May 19. The boys are wearing their vests displaying the activity patches they have earned through the year.

The Royal Ambassadors organization was founded in 1908 by Womanís Missionary Union, a full two years prior to the Boy Scouts. It was transferred to the Memphis, TN-based Brotherhood Commission in the 1950s and was moved to the North American Mission Board in 1997.
