Ministerial Moves

 

Dykes Creek Baptist Church in Rome has called Lee Burke as minister of music.

 

Tommy Fountain, Sr.

Tommy Fountain, Sr., recently accepted a call to serve as pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Monroe. He will continue in his current role as associational missionary for Mulberry Baptist Association through Nov. 15.

 

On Sept. 15 Highland Hills Baptist Church in Macon extended a call to Jake Hall to serve as pastor. He is joined by his wife, Erin, and son, Logan. Previously he served as pastor of Heritage Baptist Fellowship in Canton.

 

On Aug. 25 Russell Herrington retirement as minister of music at Dykes Creek Baptist Church in Rome and was recognized with a special service and luncheon. A former Southern Baptist missionary to Mexico City, Herrington had served at Dykes Creek for seven years.

 

Bill Lacy recently began as interim pastor at Hapeville First Baptist Church.

 

Gene Roberts

Gene Roberts recently accepted a call to serve as pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church in LaFollette, TN as well as join the faculty of Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in Pineville, KY. Previously, he served as English pastor at Savannah Korean Baptist Church. He is joined by his wife, Angela.

 

Rubin A. Smith, Jr., recently retired after 40 years of full-time ministry. He is presently serving as interim pastor at Waleska First Baptist Church.

 

Maxie Threatt began as pastor of Salem Baptist Church in Baldwin County on Aug. 28.
