Members of the Circle of Friends, a volunteer organization in Mid-State Baptist Association, recently donated dresses, skirts, blouses, shirts, pants, pajamas, scarves, jackets, and hats for children in Russia. Meetings on Thursdays resulted in numerous clothes cut and sewn. Those clothes were then presented to Bethany Baptist Church in Bolingbroke and Bellevue Baptist in Macon before being shipped to children in the Siberian cities of Tyumen, Tobolsk, Omsk, and Yekaterinburn, where temperatures normally stay below freezing all winter. The ministry was performed in partnership with the mission organization I AM For The Urals. Pictured with Tommy Williams, president of I AM For The Urals, Inc., are, left to right, Sara Herron, June Byars, Doris Jackson, and Janie Kitchens. Mary Graham, not pictured, also helped in sewing clothes.
