Luter ready for revival through prayer

With a desire to keep the focus on the power of revival and prayer, Southern Baptist Convention President Fred Luter expressed excitement about this year's SBC annual meeting June 10-11 in Baltimore. Messengers also will elect a new president as Luter wraps up his second term.

Parker, Lee named to Committee on Committees
Appointments to the Southern Baptist Convention's Committee on Committees have been announced by SBC President Fred Luter, pastor of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans. Luter announced the appointments in accordance with SBC Bylaw 19, which calls for providing notice to Southern Baptists of the appointees well in advance of each year's convention.
Georgia Baptists named to serve as leadership
Nominees to serve on the Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee, the four denominational boards - International Mission Board, North American Mission Board, LifeWay Christian Resources and GuideStone Financial Resources - the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, the six seminaries, and the Committee on Order of Business have been selected by the 2014 SBC Committee on Nominations.
