2015 Committee on Nominations report released


Georgia Baptist Convention President Don Hattaway, Tabernacle Baptist Church, Cartersville, announces that the following persons will serve on the 2015 Committee on Nominations: **Larry Cheek (Chairman), Stone Mountain Baptist Association, Conyers; Nick Bates, Sardis Baptist Church, Sardis; David Cardoza, Yo Soy at Calvary Baptist, Lilburn; **Joe Daniel, First Baptist Church, Eastman; John Paul Hasick, Grady County Baptist Association, Cairo; **Steve Kegley, First Baptist Church, St. Mary’s; Bernard Miller, Southwest Atlanta Baptist Association, Griffin; Kevin Miller, Hebron Baptist Church, Dacula; Matt Peek, First Baptist Church, Pelham; **William Pope, Satilla Baptist Church, Wray; Bobby Russell, Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Waycross; **Jo Jo Thomas, Chattahoochee Baptist Association, Gainesville; *Fran Twelkemeier, Tabernacle Baptist Church, Cartersville; *Joan Wall, Carver Baptist Church, Douglas; and Larry Wilbur, Southeast Baptist Association, Brunswick. Joining Convention President Don Hattaway on the committee are ex officio members Executive Committee Chairman Bryan Alexander, Sweetwater Baptist Church, Douglasville and Executive Director J. Robert White.

The Committee on Nominations announces that at the 2015 annual meeting of the Georgia Baptist Convention, seventeen (17) associational full-term memberships and four (4) At Large full-term memberships will be elected, as well as any unexpired terms which become vacant during the year. Georgia Baptists are reminded that the associations may suggest names to the Committee on Nominations for the associational vacancies.

Associations preparing to suggest names for consideration by the Committee on Nominations will receive a nomination form from the office of the Executive Director, and are requested to return the completed form to the office of the Executive Director J. Associations for which full five-year term (2015-2020) Executive Committee members will be elected in 2015 are: Centennial, Central, Colquitt County, Etowah, Gordon Memorial, Hiawassee, Kimbell, Lookout Valley, Mallary, Morganton, Mulberry, Polk-Haralson, Thomas County, Washington, West Metro, Southside Baptist Network, and Southwest Atlanta.
